CLAY WORKS POTTERS’ MARKET – annually on the Friday and Saturday of Mothers Day weekend, 10am – 4pm.

An awesome display of pottery that doubles as a fundraiser to support St Columba’s significant community work, the most visible of which is our Friday Community Lunch which we’ve provided since 2017, currently for 65-75 regulars from the neighbourhood. Check out our Insta page @clayworksnz for photos of the pottery. We’ll start posting them one month out from the market.

Watch this space for information about the 2026 event (Friday 8th and Saturday 9th May), featuring around 50 potters from Tāmaki Makaurau and beyond. Clay Works attracts hundreds of visitors – buyers, potters, would-be potters and browsers – from all over Aotearoa New Zealand, and is an art destination on Auckland’s art calendar. The timing is perfect for finding that special gift for Mothers Day. There is a huge variety of pottery, in every way, including price-wise, so there’s something for everyone.
