FRIDAY 1 – 2PM
Every Friday, except in late December and January – come rain, hail or shine – we serve a two-course lunch for regular attendees from our local community. From an initial group of 15-20 attendees, since May 2023 our numbers have consistently reached 65-70 each week. Volunteers from the parish and wider community cook and bring food, which is shared. We eat together as a whanau, and everyone contributes in some way – by helping set up or clean up afterwards. We are generously supported by Kiwi Harvest Food Rescue organisation who provide kai for our whanau to take home, and by Communities Feeding Communities, who donate bulk root vegetables regularly.
